DIG SHIBUYA THEATRON
公共の道路空間で日常と非日常が織りなす新たな都市景観
かつて至る所が劇場の街だった「渋谷」を懐かしみ、渋谷のメインストリートである公園通りが、1日限りの“屋外都市劇場＝テアトロン”となります。
交通の道路から、演劇の道路へ。
たとえば街ゆく人々が友人や家族と佇んだり、偶然出逢ったパフォーマンスを鑑賞したり、都市における多くの偶発性を享受できる大小さまざまなスケールのオブジェクト群が渋谷公園通りに現れます。
渋谷の中心に突如として現れる“都市劇場”では、訪れる人々すべてが演者となり、鑑賞者ともなる。テアトロンで展開する人々の振る舞いそのものが、新しい文化的な渋谷の都市景観となることを目指します。
A new urban landscape: The intersection of the ordinary and extraordinary in public streets
Reminiscent of the Shibuya of the past—a city where theater could be found on every corner—Shibuya's main street, Koen-dori, will transform into a one-day-only "Outdoor Urban Theater: Theatron."
From a road for traffic to a street for theater.
A diverse array of objects, both large and small, will appear along Shibuya Koen-dori. These installations will create spaces where passersby can pause and linger with friends and family, enjoy unexpected performances, and fully embrace the serendipity of the city.
In this "urban theater" suddenly appearing in the heart of Shibuya, every visitor becomes both a performer and a spectator. We aim for the very actions and interactions of the people within the Theatron to become a new, cultural urban landscape for Shibuya.
