移り行く風景を生む遊び場としてのトイレ
公衆トイレは、「トイレ」というプライベートな機能と、「公衆」という公共性が隣り合わせになっています。本提案では、独立したトイレを敷地に配置し、それらを連続的に建築で繋いでいくことで、公園の新たな地形としての公衆トイレを生み出します。この連続的な建築は、私的（トイレ）と公的（都市）という対極にある要素を建築で繋げていくことで、「公衆トイレ」という機能を真の意味で社会にオープンにしました。
建築的スケールだけでなく、私的な環境から公共的な場所性を繋いでいくことで、公衆トイレがトイレの機能で完結せず、新たな人の過ごし方を生み出すインターフェイスとなり得えます。ある日は読書をしに訪れたり、またある日は市民の文化活動が公園で繰り広げられ、一時的に劇場と化す瞬間もあるかもしれません。
不特定多数の人が使うトイレだからこそ、多くの人々が思い思いに過ごすことで、人の活動によって生まれる風景が循環していく公衆トイレの提案です。
Public Toilets as Playgrounds for Ever-Changing Landscape
Public toilets represent a unique juxtaposition of the private function of a "toilet" and the public nature of "public" spaces. In this proposal, independent toilets are placed on the site and connected through continuous architectural elements, creating a new topography in the park as public toilets. This architectural continuity bridges the polarities of private (toilet) and public (urban) spaces, truly opening up the function of "public toilets" to society.
By connecting private environments with public spaces, not only at an architectural scale but also through their usage, public toilets transcend their basic functions, becoming interfaces that cultivate new ways for people to spend their time. One day, they might be a place for reading; on another, they could become temporary theaters for community cultural events in the park. Given the varied use by numerous people, we propose public toilets as dynamic landscapes shaped by human activities, continually evolving with their usage.
